This semester will be a challenging semester, there are many different areas of the teaching profession that will be new to me also it seems that technology will play a great role in the learning process and will be a benchmark on how well one does in this course.  I must admit I am not as technologically savvy as some of my peers in this class.  I do not use Twitter, Facebook, Pintrest, or blog.  So, I feel that I am definitely going to find this a little challenging.  That being said I hope that I can rise to these challenges to embrace these forms of communication and technology.  According to NPTS 3 Teachers know the content they teach.  Therefore, to embrace 21st Centuary students, I must overcome my techno phobia and embrace the different forms of technology communication available so that I can benefit my future students.

  1. Like you, I have never been familiar with social media communications. I did use Pintrest last semester. I would highly recommend Pintrest to you. They have several teaching papers and exercises which are beneficial to look at for lesson plans. I was able to get several documents for the assignments I did with Dr. McKinney last semester.
We will both overcome our phobia together in this class.
